Coffee Haciendas

Puerto Rico’s coffee-growing zone spans the central-western mountains – Jayuya, Maricao, Lares, Adjuntas, Utuado, Yauco, and Ponce are the heart of it. The harvest season (roughly September–February) is the best time to see active picking and processing; some tours run year-round but with less field activity off-season. Hours and reservation rules change seasonally, so it’s worth confirming directly before visiting.
